How We Chose Them
An Oxford search for PPC is crowded. Several of the pages Google showed belong to firms with one page for each town they want to win, and several more were adverts. So we set four rules before reading a single result.
Google reviews are the star rating and number of reviews Google printed beside each business. Where we saw a profile with no rating, or no profile at all, the table says which.

- Based in Oxford or Oxfordshire, going by its Google profile or its own plain words.
- Shown by Google, in the map or the results under it, for an Oxford search about PPC or Google Ads. Adverts did not count.
- Sells PPC or Google Ads as a service in itself, not only as a line in a list.
- Nobody paid or asked to be on it, and we kept ourselves off.
Beyond Your Brand
Beyond Your Brand is based at the Hexagon Business Centre in Witney and had 69 Google reviews, all five stars, more than any other agency here. Its PPC page calls it Oxfordshire’s leading PPC management agency, quotes a return of 17 to 1 on its campaigns and offers a free consultation.
It was on page one for all three searches. If the return figure weighs with you, ask which accounts it comes from and how a return was counted.
Common Ground
Common Ground was first in the map results for ppc agency oxford both times we read that search, and the first result under the AI Overview for ppc oxford. It describes itself as a senior-led boutique B2B PPC agency for Oxford-based brands, and the AI Overview singled it out for B2B paid search.
Its Google profile shows Kings Meadow in Osney, seven years or more in business and 28 reviews at five stars. The obvious first call if you sell to other businesses.
Oxford Marketing Company
Oxford Marketing Company runs Google Ads and Meta campaigns from Clarendon House on Cornmarket Street, and calls itself Oxford’s trusted Google Ads agency and PPC partner. Its home page describes it as a Google Partner.
It was second in the map for ppc agency oxford, the top result in our second reading of that search, and the first result under the map for google ads agency oxfordshire. All 29 of its Google reviews were five stars.
Urban Element
Urban Element calls itself an Oxfordshire digital agency and offers PPC in Oxford and beyond. Its Google profile places it at Bloxham Mill Business Centre and shows 16 reviews averaging 4.6. Its PPC page was on page one for ppc oxford and for ppc agency oxford.
Google’s AI Overview named it among the regional firms that handle ecommerce and product listing ads. If you sell products online, ask it about Shopping campaigns.
WSNH
WSNH, short for Work Smart Not Hard, calls itself a Google Ads agency in South Oxfordshire with years of experience creating and managing campaigns. Its Google Ads page was on the first page for google ads agency oxfordshire.
We saw no Google profile or reviews for it, so ask for references from businesses like yours.
Zest Digital
Zest Digital works from Kings Meadow on Osney Mead and had ten Google reviews averaging 4.8. Its PPC page calls it Oxford’s leading PPC agency and says the team has spent decades honing its skills.
PPC is one of several services it sells, and its page was on page one for ppc agency oxford in both of our readings.
What Do PPC Specialists Do?
They run your paid adverts on Google, and often on Microsoft, Meta or LinkedIn too, so that the money you spend brings in enquiries or sales. The difference between a good one and a poor one is whether the account is managed or only monitored.
In a managed account, someone works on it every week. In a monitored one, the agency watches a dashboard, sends a report and changes little. Ask any agency which of these it does, then check the account history once you have access.

- Reading the search terms people typed before they clicked, and blocking the ones that will never buy.
- Testing new adverts against the ones already running, and keeping whichever brings more enquiries.
- Moving budget towards the campaigns that bring results, and away from the ones that only bring clicks.
- Checking that every form, call or sale is counted, so decisions rest on real numbers.
- Looking at the page each advert sends people to, since a weak page wastes a good advert.
What Is a PPC Fee?
A PPC fee is what the agency charges to run your adverts. You pay it on top of your ad spend, which goes to Google or Meta for the clicks. Agencies usually set it in one of three ways: a fixed monthly fee, a share of what you spend on ads, or a fixed fee with a share added once spend passes a set level. Some charge for setting the account up as well.
A share of spend grows when your budget grows, whether or not the work does; a fixed fee stays put. Ask each agency on your shortlist which way it charges before you compare their quotes.

What Should You Ask Before Handing Over Your Ad Account?
An account holds years of data about what works for your business, so settle these before anyone starts.
- Whose name is on the account? It should be yours, with the agency added as a user, so you keep the account and its history if you part ways.
- Who will work on it each week? Ask for a name and how often they will be in the account.
- How is a lead or a sale counted? Ask to see the conversion tracking before anything else changes.
- Where does a quoted return come from? Ask which accounts it is based on and what counted as a return.
- How long is the contract, and how much notice do you give to leave? Get both in writing.
- Is our budget big enough? A good agency will tell you if your spend is too small to learn from.
