Scale Oxford provides local SEO services in Oxford and across Oxfordshire for businesses that want to be found on the map when people nearby search for what they offer. Our packages are priced from £1,200 a month, and you can cancel whenever you like.

01
Scale Oxford is founded and run by Oxford graduates.
We work from an office in Oxford, so the map we are trying to put you on is the one we look at every day.
Your report leads with the calls, direction requests and website visits your Google Business Profile brought in, not only where you rank.
A co-founder reviews each local SEO plan before any work starts, and looks over what it achieved with the team every month.
A bad review or a suspended profile needs an answer the same day. On Slack we reply in about 7 minutes.
Every local SEO package is priced further down this page, starting at £1,200 a month, and nothing ties you in.
02
Local SEO decides whether your business appears on the map when someone nearby searches for what you do. Much of it happens outside your website, on your Google Business Profile and the directories that list you, and the rest is on the pages that tell Google where you work.
We choose the categories that match what you do, fill in your services, hours and photos, and keep the profile active with posts and replies, so Google has a full picture of your business.
We find the directories and listings that mention you and make your name, address and phone number read the same on every one, starting with the biggest directories in your trade.
We set up a simple way to ask every customer for a review after the job, and draft a reply to each one, good or bad, so your profile shows a business that listens.
Your website gets a page for each part of Oxford or nearby town you genuinely serve, saying what you do there and how to reach you, never the same text with a new place name.
We earn links from Oxford sources your customers know, such as local news, business groups, sponsorships and the suppliers you already work with.
We check where you appear on the map from points across Oxford, not just from one address, because the businesses Google shows change from one street to the next.

Reachable like a colleague, not a support ticket.
Local business. A clinic, a dealership, a restaurant group: the demand is already here and already looking.
Ecommerce. A shop that sells online: most of the work is buying the demand and keeping the store fast.
SaaS. Software sold by subscription: found on its own terms, and sold to as well as marketed at.
Manufacturer. A business that sells to other businesses in volume, where the order comes after a conversation.
B2B services. A firm that sells expertise: most of the effort is starting conversations with the right people.

Where the work goes depends on your business, your margins and where your customers already are. This is one example, not a fixed package. We work it out with you before anything begins, and go through it again every month.

When a search names a place, or Google can tell the person wants something nearby, it often shows a map with three businesses above the ordinary results. This is that page, and where each part of our work lands on it.
Paid listings can sit above everything else on the page. They are bought rather than earned and disappear when the budget stops, which is why we run them as a separate service.
Three businesses on a map, each with its stars, opening hours and a button to call. Google picks them by how closely they match the search, how near they are to the person searching and how well known they are. This is where local SEO does its work.
Websites ranked on their pages and links. Your Oxford service pages belong here, and they support your map listing too, because the website linked from your profile helps Google understand what you do.
05
Your profile is the listing people see in the map pack and on Google Maps. These are the parts we complete for you and keep up to date.
06
A citation is any mention of your business name, address and phone number on another website. When those details disagree from one site to the next, Google has to guess which version is right, so we make them match before we add any more.
07
Reviews tell people what you are like to deal with before they ever call you, and Google is strict about how you ask for them. Every review we help you earn goes through the same four steps.
The best moment to ask is straight after a good job, while the customer still remembers it.
You get a short link that opens your review form, to send by text or email, or to print on a receipt.
Everyone is asked, not only the customers you expect to be happy, and nobody is offered anything in return.
Every review gets a reply, which shows the next person reading that somebody is listening.
08
An Oxford address does not stop you appearing in Witney, Abingdon or Bicester, but it does not carry you there either, because Google gives real weight to how far a business is from the person searching. If you serve customers around the county, your service area, your location pages and the sites that mention you all need to show it.
For businesses whose customers are mostly outside the city, we plan the work town by town, and our Oxfordshire SEO page sets out how.

At Scale Oxford, local SEO is £1,200 a month for businesses starting out in local search and £1,750 a month for those already on the map, with a custom price for several branches. You can cancel whenever you like.
Changes to your Google Business Profile can show within a few weeks. Climbing the map pack for busy searches in central Oxford usually takes several months, because reviews, citations and links build up over time.
For people searching near you, yes, but a business in Witney is less likely to be shown to someone in central Oxford, because distance counts. Google’s guidelines also rule out a virtual office address unless staff are there during opening hours, so the answer is a service area and good location pages, not a borrowed address.
No. Google does not allow reviews that are paid for or rewarded, or asking only the customers you expect to be happy, and breaking those rules can get reviews removed or a profile restricted. We ask everyone and help you reply to every review.
Any mention of your business name, address and phone number on another website: a directory, a trade body, a local paper or a supplier’s list of stockists. Citations help Google confirm your details, which is why they need to match your profile exactly.
No. The profile is where people see you, but your website does a lot of the work behind it: a page for each service and area, your address and phone number on every page, and the links that point to it. As a local SEO agency in Oxford, we work on both.
