Prices vary greatly, from as low as £500 to £5,000+ depending on the number of pages, required functionality and complexity, whether custom coding is required, etc. At Scale Oxford, our standard WordPress websites of up to 10 pages cost £800.
Our standard WordPress websites take around seven days to complete. We meet with you on day one, share the initial design by day three, then build the site once the design is approved. We aim to hand over the finished website within seven days, with ten days as our maximum threshold. The only time we would go beyond this is if there are new requests or revisions at the end of the process.
We start with a brief call to understand the website you want, although we can also work from a brief if required. We'll understand the pages you need, your preferred design direction and any critical features such as contact forms or booking systems. For standard websites, we then send several design options by day three. Once you choose one, we take care of the rest.
Yes. Unless you request otherwise, the domain, hosting account and WordPress account all belong to you. We only remain in the WordPress account while the website is being built and approved, then leave once the project is complete. We only access it again if you ask us to make further changes.
Yes. You can add or remove pages, change text, install plugins and make any other update to your website. You have the same control as you would if you had set it up yourself.
Yes. After the website has been approved, we can still add new features whenever you need them. The first two additions are included at no extra cost. After that, new features typically cost around £200-£300 depending on the complexity.
We don't start development until you're happy with the design. You'll receive several options at the beginning, and if none feel right, we'll prepare another round. In the rare case we still can't land on the right direction, you can either cancel the project or we can help bring in external design support to get the result you want.
Yes, WordPress itself is one of the most secure website management environments. Most security issues come from outdated plugins, weak passwords or poor hosting. We build your site with secure, well-known hosting services, and use trusted plugins only.
